Late Night Stroll[[open]] « Thread Started on Jul 22, 2008, 9:20am »
A flashlight in hand, the darkness wrapped around her, Audrey made her way slowly and quietly through the cemetry; she didn't know what it was about the place, maybe it was always quiet and the fact that everyone living here was dead, just made it more enjoyable to be around people, since they wouldn't be able to be annoying and everything else that she loathes about most people. A small sigh came from her lips; she was a bit bored and she did love to take walks at night, even if she was to be by herself, she knew how to handle herself. She loved how much people always underestimated the power of a woman.

She was walking past it, cemetery's weren't Salt's sort of thing. She'd just finished work at the little kiddies nightclub, and with her duffel bag strewn over her shoulder, she had her fingers dug deep into the pockets of her slate grey hoody, and head bopping to some random dance track on her Ipod. The neon pink skirt, complete with ruffled tiers rustled in the light breeze, and the black heels on her feet, work permitted, clacked against the pavement as she passed under the warm coloured street lamps. Biting down on a pastel pink glossed lip, she cast a sparkling glittered eye into the cemetery, seeing the movement of the torch beam. One hand lifted up to play with a blonde curl on her shoulder, coming from underneath the hood and she lent forward, calling out crisply, "You okay in there?"

Audrey continued walking, letting herself just get lost within her thoughts; until a voice knocked her out of her line of thought and caused her to come to a stop and glanced around a bit. Her eyes went off towards the street nearby, seeing someone standing under a street lamp. A another small sigh came from her lips as she moved a bit closer so she didn't really have to shout out towards the person. Once she figured she was close enough, she gave a small smile "Yea, I'm okay."

Salt's eyes immediately flicked toward the pink hair, and a smile graced her lips. At least it was some creepy old man grave digger lout with a spade and a shrunken head. What? Maybe she'd been watching too many horror films lately. Maybe. She turned her thoughts back to the girl across from her, and she pursed her lips awkwardly, rolling back and forward in her heels. "I'm Salt, Werner. I don't think I've seen you around?" This was true, half based on the face Salt never really spoke to many people outside her little clique of lovelies.

"Well, I could really be saying the same thing to you." she gave a small smirk "I'm Audrey Burton." she told the other one that she knew of as Salt now. The girl looked a little familiar, but she really couldn't say she could put the name and face together with one another. It could be possible she has seen her just by random in different places, she really didn't know and it really wasn't that much of a big deal. Audrey glanced towards what the girl had on then to the duffle bag she was carrying and gave a small little laugh "I do hope you weren't working out in heels, that would be dreadful."

"Ahh c'est bon. I was indeed working in heels. They kill me, but it has to be done, otherwise I can't see over the counter." She flicked her hand up and down her posture, motioning to her height. Oh yes, she came in at a staggering 5 foot 2 and a bit. Sucking in her bottom lip, she pulled herself up on the short wall seperating the cemetery from the pavement and dangled her legs over the otherside, feeling no desire to go in. Truth be told, she was a little scared. "I've just spent the last four hours being hit on by fourteen year olds. I could do with a little company my age, if you don't mind? Jumping to a conclusion you are my age, roundabout. I'm eighteen."

Audrey's eyes went a bit wide "Oh geesh..." she shook her head a bit, she knew how it was to work in heels, they were a killer, but a job is a job, at least, that is the way she always saw it. She let out a small laugh "Oh, you poor thing, fourteen year olds..so much hormones in them." she said a bit jokingly. Audrey watched as the girl as she moved up over the wall to stand on the same side as her, she gave a small nod "Yeah, I'm eighteen as well. It really is always good to talk with someone your own age."

"I know, right?" Salt grinned, before her face moved into a 'pondering' look. "I, myself have never been a fourteen year old boy." It was true- she'd never been a fourteen year old boy. Her fingers turned off the Ipod in her pocket, seeing as though the girl had decided to talk, and it would be rude to be sat there listening to rap music, despite it being very good rap music. She sighed happily, before turning to the other, eyebrows furrowed in question, "So, if isn't to personal, Jesus knows I'm Queen of Uncomfortable Situations, why are you in a graveyard at-" She paused to glance at her watch, "-nearly eleven at night?"

Audrey gave a slight roll of her eyes with a small laugh "I believe neither one of us have ever been fourteen year old boys." she told the girl. She shifted her weight a bit, and listened to the girls question "Not personal at all.." she said a bit and glanced around some as she gave a reply "Just really a walk, nothing more. Sometimes the human body, a person, people; well, they can get a bit annoying." she looked back towards the girl and gave a small smile "Being around the dead, it's peaceful, and gives one a chance to get be away from the living for a while." she gave a small shrug.

"You're weyyaarddd." Salt's face was curved in an unnoffending beam, and she clicked her fingers before letting them rest on her lap. "But I get what you mean." She crossed her legs and looked up at the sky, "Normal people just go get a coffee or something." Smiling at the other to show she was only messing around, she leant forward, trying to get herself comfy on the wall, a thing she accomplished, despite big rocks sticking right up her ay-nus. Suddenly, she jumped, snapping her fingers together in the air, "I've seen you around! Yus. I remember now. It's the hair." For effect, she flicked the end of the others barnet. "Where is it you work?"

Audrey raised an eyebrow towards the girl and shook her head a bit "I suppose be a bit weird can be better than just being normal and dull.." she replied back, with a small shrug of her shoulder. She watched the girl for a moment, as she shifted herself on the wall and then looked back towards her face, with a small smile "Well, I suppose you can say I'm a stripper.." she gave another small shrug; she really wasn't ashamed of it, but she still held a different identy when she worked, it was kind of a good thing to do.

"A stripper?" Salt's eyebrows raised, and she cast a look down the girl. She just didn't seem the type. A smile came to her face. "Then you will know me. Or of me. Werner. My arse hole of a dad owns Dreamz, I'm guessing you work there? And my prick of a brother, Seamus- do you know him? He works there sometimes. I stay away. Not my scene." Her voice held no judgement whatsoever. After your family was the shit of Farmington, what right did you really have to judge someone for working at your very own place?

Audrey gave a nod to her slight question of repeating what she just said. She raised an eyebrow, then gave a small laugh "That is your father and brother.." she said back to her, shaking her head a bit "Craazy little world, eh?" she said with a small grin and gives a small shrug "Not a lot of girls like that type of scene, personally, a job is a job, i mean, either way you usually always work around a bunch of horny men and most girls that are whores.." she gave a small laugh "I'm not ashamed of it, I mean, it's fun and it pays great."

"Heh," Salt emitted a noise through her grin, shrugging her shoulders and splaying out her feet. Her fingers rearranged her skirts, turning to the girl without conviction and asking, "Don't it make you feel... dirty?" She knew from experience that merely being around her dad made her stomach queasy. After everything he did to her in the months passed, she hated him more than the devil himself, and wished death, painful death upon his rotted being. A scowl came to her pretty face, and she found herself kicking a rock beneath her with venom.

Audrey gave another roll of her eyes and let out a sigh, this was a reason as to why she usually never told anyone about what her job is; they were always so critically about it, judging and just being a bit snobby and stuck up about it "Hmm, so I should feel dirty for working in a strip club, but yet, if a girl goes to a regular job, dressed like she should be a stripper and has horny men all over her, does anyone ask her if she feel dirty about it?" it was more of a statement than a question really. Audrey shook her head "No they don't. They just sit back and watch the slut get her way. No one ever really critizes her or even judges her." she told the girl.
Audrey let out another sigh "And to answer your question, no, I don't feel dirty. The fact that just because the place looks like scum, it really isn't. We girls are all clean, we have a healthy medical record and we keep the place clean."

"Okay, you need to chill. I wasn't judging you. Hell, that's what my old house used to be like- and I had to live there. I don't really give a shit if your a stripper or a prostitute, If you're doing it because you want to and you're happy then thats fine. I just know my dad has this way of forcing people into doing things they don't want to do." She pursed her lips, eyes dropping to her watch. "Listen, it's be nice talking to you and all; but I really gotta' head. I'll see you around?"
Salt offered the girl a small smile, before she pulled herself from the wall and back onto the pavement. Her fingers shook in a little wave, before she pulled her hood back up and plugged in her Ipod. And then she was gone.
